Electronics Quality Manager- Contract Manufacturing

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSummaryWe are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join our Contract Manufacturing team in Tallahassee.
Do you have experience in electronics or printed circuit boards? This manager will lead our team of inspectors, technicians and engineers while planning, coordinating and directing the quality control/system program designed to ensure continuous improvement of production and products consistent with established standards.
Maintain Quality system compliance.
Ensure customer requirements are properly documented and communicated.
Perform audits to verify conformance of activities to quality standards (including ISO compliance).
This highly-technical position reports to the Director of Quality and requires a highly professional, committed, career-oriented individual.
Essential Functions Ensure facility complies with ISO Quality standard and any customer specific quality requirements.
Direct Quality Team members to ensure continuous control and that all products meet customer requirements.
Build a team of highly engaged, knowledgeable members to support quality initiatives for the Company.
Hold weekly meetings, training sessions and process improvement sessions to improve communication, knowledge and efficiency.
Oversee internal audits , generate corrective actions of non-compliant processes, work with area supervisors to correct noncompliance and/or recommend process changes to meet quality system objectives and requirements.
Interface with external auditors and regulatory quality agencies, primary contact for all external audits of the quality system, escort auditors during on-site audits.
Interface with customers and coordinate internal efforts to correct processes when customer requirements are not met.
Notify customer of any noncompliance and communicate corrective action.
Ensure timely resolution of quality problems and implement long-term solutions to prevent reoccurring problems.
Write and submit audit schedule, plans and reports as required.
Facilitate SPC/Corrective Action meetings, interpret condition of SPC charts, determine if any corrective/preventive action is necessary and assign appropriate individuals responsible for the correction action.
Document results of meetings and generate corrective action request where appropriate.
Maintain corrective action systems; publish corrective action list and review status weekly with appropriate Managers.
Follow up on delinquent corrective action requirements to ensure those responsible have the proper direction, resources and understanding of what needs to be addressed and when it needs to be completed.
Plan, promotes, schedule and organize internal/external training activities related to product quality and reliability to appropriate personnel.
Other duties may be assigned.
Required Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) from four-year university; plus minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in electronics aligned with Quality Assurance disciplines.
Previous ISO 9001 or higher Quality Management experience for at least 3-5 consecutive years.
Demonstrated leadership and team building experience for at least 5 consecutive years.
Experience in manufacturing facility and /or electronics manufacturing is highly desirable.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to establish use strong technical acumen to build credibility with your team and the production staff, working side by side in a continual learning environment.
Must be able to build consensus to drive culture change.
A hands-on approach and the willingness to be a problem solver across the Engineering, Production and Quality business units.
